Zanjeer was a dog who saved thousands of lives during the Mumbai serial blasts in March, 1993. He located 3,329 kilograms of RDX explosives, 600 detonators, 249 hand grenades and 6406 rounds of live ammunition. Zanjeer died of bone cancer at the age of 8, and was buried with full honors in 2000.
